Ports Master Table

This table contains the list of all the ports that will be used in ISIS. It has two types of ports, ports of call (loading and discharge) and ports of origin final destination or transshipment. The difference between the two groups is the number that identifies them. The ports of call are defined with numbers between 100 and 999. These are ports that will be linked with departments in accounting to keep track of accounts receivables and accounts payables by port. The ports of origin and final destination or transshipment, are defined by four or more digits and are not related to accounting at all.

ISIS has a couple o ports, ALL PORTS identified by number 0 , and N.A. by number 1. N.A. is used in Traffic documents, such as bookings, dock receipts, bills of lading, etc, when the port of origin is the same port of loading or when the port of final destination is the same port of discharge. ALL PORTS is used more for reporting purposes.

At the bottom of the screen, it displays the list of lines, whose vessels will be calling the port. It also displays, the agent and yard information if needed. This information corresponds to the Line \Port master file

To find a port, click on the binoculars and the list of the ports will be displayed. To view the information about that port, double-click on the line item or hit enter

To create a new port, start by clearing the screen, by clicking on the New port option and start filling out the fields, as required. Please remember the numbering explained above.
