Danny Vargas, SeaFreight's Vice President Sales & Marketing was the recipient of the Jamaican Milestone Award for International Trade from the Jamaica/USA Chamber of Commerce.
The Award was presented on Friday May 20th 2011, at the Chamber's Annual luncheon and opening ceremony of the Jamaican Business Expo at the Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale Conference Center.
Presenting the Award on behalf of the Chamber was its President, Ms. Marie Gill as well as the keynote speaker for the event, Mr. Joseph Matalon, Chairman ICD Group & President of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica.
The Award was in recognition for Danny's commitment to the Jamaican market dating back to 1988 when he joined Antilles Freight, a Consolidator specializing in the Caribbean & Jamaica in particular, followed by his time with Kirk Line, the Carrier that served the Jamaican market for many decades and now his continued involvement in the trade at SeaFreight.
SeaFreight Line was recognized for it's its commitment to excellence in international trade between Jamaica and the USA while it's “roots remain focused on Jamaica” as quoted in the Chamber's Magazine.
