A magnitude-7.0 earthquake that was centered just 10 miles from Port-au-Prince crippled Haiti; this is the strongest earthquake to hit this area in over 200 years. Communication and infrastructure networks have been severely disrupted and the vast devastation of this disaster is still coming into light.
In light of this earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Seafreight Line has temporarily suspended the weekly service, as the condition of the Port Authority’s infrastructure damages is being assessed. We are monitoring the situation through our office in Port-au-Prince and will continue to keep you informed. We intend to resume service as soon as conditions allow.
We stand ready to assist the humanitarian effort as soon as the port conditions allow it.
Those wishing to contribute humanitarian supplies to Haiti’s relief effort should do so by contacting non profit organizations such as America’s Relief Team, Food for the Poor or Catholic Relief Services. Below is a list of non-perishable items needed in such cases:

Feminine supplies, personal hygiene supplies (shampoo/soap/ect.) first aid kit, disposable paper and plastic goods (plates/cups/etc.)
